Just a 2000s kid who enjoyed a lot of what made the 2000s and 90s special. ADHD with a side of lots of signing up for band/orchestra made me love music. I don't remember the first time I heard a chiptune track, but I know it sounded amazing (and different) to me when I did. From then on, I always had a soft spot for chiptune and tracks made with limitations. After learning about trackers at the beginning of HS, I tried to dabble in them, but they felt too complicated for the programs that were available at the time. Not to mention I wasn't aware of half of the trackers I've heard of now, and didn't really have the time to invest in learning them with school looming overhead. After the start of HS, life happened, but I still listened to many tracks, just mainly surface-level ones that any casual listener could find on YT. Recently, a new friend has gotten me to come back to trackers and try and actually learn a thing or two, as well as seek out more stuff from small artists. If it's retro, sign me up!
